What Have I Lost Interest In?

Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?

There are a few activities that I have lost interest in throughout my life, either because I grew up, or because I simply don’t have the time or the energy to take a look at them. The first activity that comes to mind is playing with my Legos. My mom bought me a bunch of Lego sets as a child. I would build boats, buildings, and at one point in time, built my own Lego train set. As I got older though, a few parts and instructions began to disappear, and would eventually put my Lego’s in storage as a teenager. I also played with Lego’s on my computer as a kid, using the Lego Creator software for Windows back in 1998. Unlike the actual Lego bricks in real life, I would eventually find away to do this as an adult using the Lego BrickLink Studio as an adult.

Another activity that I did in my youth that I have not had the time to do as an adult is camping. My sister and I were involved with scouting as a kid (I was in Boy Scouts and my sister was in Girl Scouts.), and spent plenty of time at Chief Logan or Camp Lazarus. When I wasn’t doing that, I would spend time at Camp Nuhop (a camp for kids with autism and other intellectual disabilities.) While my visits to Camp Nuhop (and the nearby Mohican State Park) continued until I aged out as an adult, My time in the Boy Scouts came to an end after I dropped out to focus on school. As an adult, I have not had the time or the energy to go camping.
