First off, I have made some major changes in my life since I last wrote on this blog. After multiple failures to lose weight on my own, my doctor broke down and put me on weight loss medication. Along with changes to my diet, the effort has resulted in me losing 25 lbs since November (and the best part-I have managed to keep the weight off.) My focus on my weight will continue in to this year, with a goal of losing another 20-30 lbs before Pelotonia in August.
Speaking of Pelotonia, there has been some uncertainty on my end regarding my participation in the 2025 Pelotonia Ride Weekend. I can confirm that my participation as a Challenger (virtual partcipant) will move forward REGARDLESS of my decision regarding Ride Weekend. I’ll have more details about this year’s campaign when registraion opens in March.
While my blog’s focus will remain on Pelotonia and my health, there will be some new features on the blog that I plan to roll out over the next few weeks. The first one is will be a series of posts where I answer a writing prompt generated by WordPress (The first post of that series will be up as soon as I finish writing this.) Other features could include behind the scenes videos of my training with Pelotonia, my advice on stuff and more (those will come in the spring.)
One last thing….. It feels good to be back.
