2024 Pelotonia Challenger Goal #3

Before I get to Challenger Goal #3, I have a quick bit of housekeeping with Challenger Goal #2, the 3D Lego Models on BrickLink. Due to unforeseen creative challenges, I have decided to extend the deadline for that until July 31. This also means that I will be working on Challenger Goals two and three (and my outdoor training) at the same time.

Just like Challenger Goal #2, this goal revisits another favorite childhood activity that I enjoyed: the annual Summer Reading Challenge at the Columbus Metropolitan Library. I spent plenty of time at the Hilliard Branch of the Columbus Library while I was growing up (going all the way back to when the Hilliard Branch was located on Scioto-Darby Road back in the early 90’s.) As far as reading material, I would read anything from architecture books to science fiction (namely Star Wars).

The goal for this challenge is the same as the objective of the Summer Reading Challenge: Read for 15 minutes a day for 25 days, and log it online. There is a new wrinkle for this challenge this year: In an effort to keep me focused, I will listen to the audiobook version of the book I am reading to keep me on track (I will be using Audible for this.) The first book I am reading this year is The Demon of Unrest by Erik Larson. My plan is to read 2-3 books during this challenge this year.

After I wrap these goal on July 31, the 2024 Pelotonia Challenger Series will go on hiatus temporarily while I focus on getting ready for the 2024 Pelotonia Ride Weekend and my ride on August 4th in New Albany. I will begin Challenger Goal #4 in mid-August after I have a chance to recover from Ride Weekend.
