Update on My Weight

Back in November, I wrote a lengthy blog post about how I was having problems getting my weight under control. Since that time, I have made major strides in terms of getting my weight under control, to the point that I am very close to getting under 200 lbs. for the first time in a long time (still have some work to do, and I have a virtual 20K to run)

How did I do it? Well for starters, I have been much more active this winter than I was in previous years (despite the fact that I am down to one job in the moment.) I have been walking and running on a daily basis since the new year. I have also managed to keep to my diet, comprising of a small breakfast, a bottle of Slim-Fast for lunch, and controlled portioned dinner. I am also drinking more water and pedialyte to help stay hydrated.

As of this post, I have succesfully maintained 20+ lb weight loss for the past few weeks. I also realize that I still have a lot of work to do in order to get in to the best shape of my life by the end of this year. I will be doing some indoor cardio workouts once I finish cleaning up my bedroom. As we get closer to spring, I will be getting my bike out of the garage and will commence training for Pelotonia 2021, meaning I will be working out in some form on a daily basis.

I still have some work to do in terms of my diet, namely getting my diet back into some balance. I have made excellent progress in terms of portion control and adding fruits to my diet. I have begun to re-evaluate what I eat on a daily basis, and figuring out what I can change to help me keep this weight off.

In conclusion, I am extremely happy with the progress I have made in getting back in conrol of my health. Getting my weight under control is one of the steps that I am taking to accomplish this, with the hope that this will lead to some other major changes with my life.
