A Quick Health Update for 12/15


Tomorrow is a big day, as I make my first attempt to run the Allstate Virtual Hot Chocolate 5K virtually, although I do have some concerns about the weather forecast (70% chance of Snow at last check) In the event I have to postpone, I will try again on Sunday, and get in a couple of more training runs before then.

Things have been looking better on the scale in recent weeks. Since I stepped on the scale at my doctor’s office on October 19, I have maintained a 15 lb weight loss since then. I have made progress in reworking my diet, but I still have a lot of work to do. It is not easy to work on something like this during the holiday season, so I will save the bulk of the changes to my diet until after the first of the year.

My indoor workouts are progressing nicely, and I have added a new weapon to the arsenal: Apple Fitness+. I plan to give a couple of workouts a try over the next few days. If everything works, this will make a nice addition to the Nike Training Club, Adidas Training and Gaiam TV apps that I already use.
