Every year for the last couple of years, I have rewarded myself for all of the hard work that I did during the holiday season with a trip to one of the AMC theaters in Columbus for a movie. Last year, I went and saw Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at the now-former AMC Lennox Town Center 24 near the Ohio State campus with my sister (the theater will reopen soon with a new owner) In past years, I have seen either a Star Wars or a Disney animated feature.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, I made the decision to forgo the trip to the cinema this year. I plan on seeing a movie on Christmas Day next year at the AMC Dublin Village 18. I usually decide which movie I see by the end of October, and right now, it’s anyones guess what I will see.

As for this year, I still plan to watch a recently released feature, but I will do it from the comfort of my own bedroom, and might even cheat a little bit with some popcorn. Given everything that has happened this year, I have decided to pull a double feature this year, so with out further ado, my Christmas movies this year are:

Disney-Pixar’s Soul

I have a post reflecting on some of my favorite movies that I have seen, either in the cinema or at home, in the pile of posts that I have to finish writing. In the meantime, I hope that everyone stays safe, and I will be back at a movie theater soon.
