Based on the progress that I have made so far, I now have a date to run my first attempt to run the Allstate Hot Chocolate 5K on a course in my neighborhood (as this will be a virtual 5K.) I will make my first attempt to run this on December 16. I plan to accomplish a few training runs next week before I make this attempt.
