In a previous post, I have discussed some of the home improvement projects that have been completed since the beginning of this year, including new windows and a new front door. In recent weeks, I have taken on re-waterproofing our deck (that project is almost finished) and helped get some new shelving installed in the garage. Earlier Today, a pretty dramatic change occurred on our property with the removal of a few trees. Here is a couple of before shots:

This is one of two major projects this week, a new fence is coming this week as well. While it is sad that we had to take down the spruce tree at the front corner of our property (it was decaying pretty rapidly), we are planning for a replacement of some kind at some point in the summer or fall of next year. In the mean time, we will use that spot for some holiday decorations at Halloween/Christmas.
